The individual titles appear available in 4K UHD, but for this trilogy I only seem to have an HDX option available.

First one was great, second one was good but seemed a bit far fetched. The third was pretty boring.

I get it's scifi.
If you're a tom Hanks fan, all three are worth your time. Otherwise get the first and skip the other two until they pop up on streaming somewhere.

One of the more forgettable trilogies ever made lol.
Perhaps the most memorable thing about the original movie was how misguided Tom Hanks' haircut was.

Honestly this is the sort of film like 50 Shades that was a complete cultural zenith when it came out but just completely disappeared from relevance not long after. I can't remember the last time I heard someone reference the books or the films, but for anyone who lived through that time period, the book and original film were absolutely massive.

That's because they are books for people who don't normally read, and movies for people who don't watch a lot of movies. They both got the attention of huge numbers of people that way, but because they were mediocre (or worse), their impact didn't really go beyond their moment.
