Tramontina Pro-Series knives are one of the high-quality budget friendly brands. These are stamped knives, nothing fancy. But for the price, they may be good for college students, picnic, camping, airbnb, or any situation that the knife can be abused or stolen. They are dishwasher safe and hold their edges longer than most budget knives. Tramontina has been making kitchen knives in Brazil for more than 100 years with its US customer support office in Houston TX.
I personally own very similar 3pc Tramontina Pro-Series knives bought from Costco 8 years ago. They are sitting side-by-side with my Trojiro and Wusthof knives in my kitchen. I use them often and happy with them. In my experience, they have much better quality than other knives in the similar price range.

This Forged in Fire fan says: many variations with different performance down the road.
Costco still sell the two pack of Russell 10" chef knives for $18, by the way. This is a similar type of knife and another outstanding value. https://www.costco.com/russell-10...77377.html

My starting point for this board is that I expect that 90 percent of what I see here is of no interest to me and I don't care why because it doesn't matter. Topic policing is a slippery slope that I'm content to leave to the moderators.

But you're right, I just happen to have a quiet morning, there are certainly more important things in life and this just annoyed me for a bit. I'm good now.

Believe me, I have my own "don't get me started" pain points about this place. But just based on what I see, I'm not in the core target group so I just take it as presented to get from it what I can. This place can be very annoying sometimes, but it has also saved me a ton of money.
