Just went to my local Walmart today and had customer service verify that it was $249 before lugging it up to the register. The person at the customer service desk showed me in his phone it was $249 and said if it scanned as something else the cashier should look it up in the system and adjust the price.

Once at the register, it scanned at the reg price and they would not honor the $249. The guy I spoke with "was at lunch" and nobody working there had authority to allow that kind of a price adjustment.

They took my number and held it at the customer service desk. That was at 10-11am and I still have not heard.

Not happy.

I just got rid of this Grill. Make sure you take a good look. It's pretty difficult to clean. Also, mine could have just been defective but I couldn't do long cooks with it. It would flame out very easily and the pellet burner pot would overfill with pellets.

I used Walmart plus to scan and go and scanned the box and checked out at self check out so no problem

Got one in Charleston, IL was listed for $249 clearance told him other Walmarts had it cheaper and bc it's last one and he took it down to $186 which was $201 out the door. I was trying to research and decide between Austin XL or 700 Classic fb for $200 for about an hour! Go big or go home

I'm having a hard time finding the difference between the Austin XL and the Austin XL Onyx edition. The Pit Boss website has a lot of details on the Onyx features, but not on the regular. It looks like the colors are slightly different, and the Onyx has an extra meat probe? Anything else? The price difference at my Walmart is $30.

Same! I've been looking at differences for both the Lexington and Austin XL models and can't find major differences on the old vs new. Seems like the control board got updated and temp readings are a bit more accurate. Smaller interval temp change (5 vs 25). Bottle opener on the side for the new edition. Possibly more feature controls on the app for the new models. The onyx edition also came out a few months ago so I would go for the new vs old if the price difference is not huge.
