If you have a PSVR, it's basically the ultimate driving immersion. I use a similar wheel (mine is Thrustmaster's wheel in this price range) on PC with a VR headset and it's insane how immersive it is, to the point you forget that you're in a game.
At $187, if you get into this hobby, this will probably be least expensive piece of hardware you ever purchase.

A massive difference. These wheels have force feedback, meaning you'll feel every bump on the road through the wheel, feel resistance while turning, etc, just like driving a real car. You'll be able to feel when the car is losing, or is about to lose grip, etc. Not to mention, it's a heck of a lot more immersive and fun. These are budget force feedback wheels, but these Logitech wheels are also the most reliable wheels in this category. More expensive ones can cost multiple $1,000 plus just for the hub, but those will literally rip the wheel out of your hands if you hit a wall, etc (as a real car would). More expensive ones are direct-drive, meaning there are no gears between the motor and wheel like this one has. They give you a bit more detailed feedback. These are a bit more tame and less detailed, but still give you plenty of feedback to improve your driving. If you're into driving games/simulators, it's pretty much a must.

Probably. This is a good price point to dip your toe in the water to find out for yourself.

With wheel, because there's so much more travel, what you gain in more precise lines, you lose in the corner, because you missed the countersteer window.
It comes down to the game how heavily certain actions are penalized. You buy a wheel for fun factor, or flavor, in terms of raw utility/ ease of use, it's more exercise and harder to master, be prepared for spinning out for at least a month.
If you don't have the ergonomics right, height, angle chair, pedals, it's PAINFUL to use, this is where most people give up and throw it in a box in the corner. I recommend a playseat of some sort for mounting.

C'mon, my keyboard tray was only $100 😂

You can make/buy an adapter and mount a fullsized steering wheel.

No, it'll be fine. That's how the majority of people use these (users with high-end wheels usually have a dedicated cockpit). The force feedback in these isn't that strong. If you have a flimsy desk and a flimsy desk-mounted monitor arm the monitor might vibrate a tiny amount during intense moments, but it's fine. I have a relatively sturdy desk and a decent monitor arm and nothing moves.
