Class 3 is the one to get. Still a little higher than I'd want to spend but Juiced does make quality bikes so you are getting what you pay for.

I have had my Juiced Ripcurrent a week tomorrow. I really like it. So far, I would say Juiced makes a solid product. That said, this only has a cadence sensor for pedal assist. The crosscurrent has cadence AND torque sensors. I only had experience with cadence prior to my Juiced bike. Now, I would not buy another bike without the torque sensor, unless of course, it's a steal. The torque sensor gives it a real bike feel vs. no resistance with the cadence sensors at higher speeds. Also, I like the thumb throtte vs. twist. Twist hurts my wrist after riding a while. All my bikes are twist throttle, too, except for Juiced.

very tempted. but without the torque sensor, i'm not sure how I feel about this. I own a CrossCurrent from them and its solid for the price. This would be used as a backup battery and second bike when others are around.. very tempting as battery price alone is close to this...

I snagged their Ripcurrent model a couple weeks ago for $799(closeout steal). The bike is solid and uses quality parts. the battery on mine is LG, it has both cadence and torque sensors and uses a bafang 1300W peak motor(beast). California based company and shipping is pretty quick. It comes packaged better than any bike I have seen. Almost zero chance of damage. My only complaint is I am limited to 20mph in throttle only, but Ripracer isn't limited. If I wasn't 6'3" I would have snagged this smaller, quicker one!!

Yes, it was out of stock and now in stock.

Personally I think the speed upgrade is worth the $200 unless you absolutely against going that fast.

I agree with everything above! I've had my ripcurrent for about a week and it's been fantastic first e-bike!
Can anyone recommend a rear cargo rack that would fit this model? Thanks

The Class 2 version has a "Race" mode that unlocks it to Class 3. What am I missing?

Didn't know that? Is there a time limit or something on race mode? I guess technically the voltage architecture on the class 3 is a little better but if the speeds are the same, then I guess it would be moot.

What? You realize that's just something you can unlock on every one of these bikes to become class 3 right? Just press a couple of buttons.

So the only difference really in their C2 vs C3 is the bigger battery on the 3?
