For clarification: this does not have 10 Gb ethernet. The USB-C port is 10Gb pass-through capable which is why you see "10Gb" printed on the device.

This is an important clarification because it also speaks to the 4k/60hz spec. This will ONLY work at 60hz if your device (laptop most likely) has 10Gb usb-c onboard. Many laptops just dont have the usb-c bandwidth for 4k/60hz and its not a docking station limitation. Check your specs before you try to run dual 4k/60 on this.

Their products are quality made. My reading of that review was the reviewer comes off as perhaps not being very technically familiar with how to use it. Kind of like myself.

The price is as low as it gets.

Check the comments on the previous front page deal I linked in my post. I bought this, but haven't put it into operation yet. Will report back if I see any issues with it.

Is it possible to use a DP to HDMI adaptor for the monitors that don't have DP? Or should I wait for something that has HDMI (and possibly DP)?

I don't want more monitor "standards" any more than I want more USB "standards".

Yes. DP is better than HDMI. It offers a lot more than HDMI. You can always use a cheap adapter to downgrade the DisplayPort signal to HDMI.

Thanks in for 1. Good selection of ports. Normally it's a bunch of things that I will never use and/or lacks ethernet. (Typo in OP BTW, I wish it had 10GbE for this price)

USB bandwidth has nothing to do with DisplayPort bandwidth. The video ports would not function on a USB 10G only port, but would likely function on a Type C port with full DisplayPort 1.4 connection, but only usb 2.0 bandwidth (which can often be found on Android phones not made by Samsung or Google).

Edit: the rest of the hub would work on data only, just not the video ports

This cable needs to be able to support simultaneous USB 10G data and DisplayPort video. They likely don't want people complaining that the docking station won't work when they connect it with their phone charging cable

Anyone know if this will work with a Switch?

I have a Dell Thunderbolt dock I use at home, but was looking for something more portable. I was looking at a cheaper one without 4K 60hz that does have a detachable cable, but it be worth a few bucks more to get a dock I could also use as a backup at home if it also works for my travel needs.
