If someone hasn't bought a Switch by now I'd just wait for the new one next year. If at no point over the past 6 years did you ever feel compelled to buy one then why now?

Maybe some find $70 off the less-than-two-year-old OLED Switch compelling. Or they could wait for a similar deal on the Switch 2. But then the Switch 3 will be coming out. Ugh, life is hard.

You aren't wrong, but I am one of those people who have wanted to buy one but never found the need. Now with the new Zelda and no promise of backward combability on the next iteration, I think it is compelling; especially since older titles are much cheaper now

it wasn't. I received mine 2 days ago and it's US version. others confirmed in the old thread also. if it was Chinese mainland it would be region locked. There were plenty of people trolling in that thread. There is a HongKong/Taiwanese version which is not region locked, but either way. the ones shipped last monoprice sale were US

really depends on the game. some of them run really well, especially the games that were designed for the switch. some ports also run well, but others do not
