Red dragon keyboard and mouse used to come bundled with cheap ass prebuilts back in the day.. They weren't worth $5, maybe they're better now?

Were those boards wireless and hotswap ? I would say 40 is probably a fair price for these . No way they're worth 70 or whatever the msrp is

Redragon stuff used to be super cheap bottom barrel crap but some of their keyboards at least are actually really decent now. I'm typing on a K668 right now and it has a lot of great features including being hot-swappable, which my $100+ Razer Blackwidow Elite didn't have. Being hot swappable is a bigger deal than i had thought because you can buy an ultra cheap board like a Redragon and then have more money for better switches and more premium caps which greatly enhances the feel of typing on it.
Much better build quality on the Razer, of course, but I got this Redragon on sale for like $12. Hard to beat that.

Can't say anything about their mice as I've never used one. They look a lot better than they used to!

Similar thing with cheaper 3rd party controllers. They're so good now when they used to be so bad back in the day. I think manufacturing processes are just better and allowing for cheaper products to come in a higher quality than they used to

the appeal for me here is a small keyboard that has a numpad by moving off home key section.

I have this exact keyboard and it is good. Similar in quality to some of the other quality brands that go for around $60-80 usually on Amazon. I got it from AliExpress for a few dollars less than this during a big sale.
