They now have the 128GB version [totalbyverizon.com] for $99.99. You can just buy the phone from Total by Verizon and activate it on Tracfone's cheapest plan for $15/month ($10 with auto refill) to start the 60 days unlock clock. (FYI, the sim card comes with the phone can be used to activate the Tracfone service)

Similar to other Tracfone deals. The phone will be unlocked automatically after 60 days since activation. You only need to pay one month of service, not 2 months. I just got my iPhone SE 3nd generation unlocked from the previous front page deal.

Phone $99.99 + $30 1 month of service = $129.99 plus taxes.

This may not be as fast as the iPhone SE 3nd gen for $149.99 but should be better if you don't want to spend extra for back up.

The SE 2022 would probably be better because T-Mobile does have some area's that only have 5g coverage where the newer model would work but this one wouldn't. This would be area's where they didn't have coverage before the 600mhz auction and only added 5g coverage there because the band isn't supported by any older 4g phones anyway.

Been trying to convince my cheap boomer father in law to upgrade his iPhone 7 but he's of the mindset that if it's not broken why get a new one.
NO - will not work on any other network until it's unlocked which takes 60 days

2 months after you activate it on Tracphone, it will unlock on it's own.

I only recently upgraded my mom to this iPhone SE 2nd Gen after the app she used for voice calls overseas would no longer update on her iPhone 6 and she lost the ability to call her overseas friends and family.

I've bought several in past year (& resold) - all were like new.

Should be same as TF & TW. It's same company with different service plans. I've activated ST iphones on TF so they likely all come from same place, just with different packaging.

I didn't see any way to get it without a plan so $150+ 35 > the $165 + 10 for TracFone if you just want to wait the 2 months for it to unlock but it's not that much of a difference. If there is a way to get the straight talk without the plan and then use the $10 TracFone plan to unlock it that would be the cheapest option.
