They now have the 128GB version [totalbyverizon.com] for $99.99. You can just buy the phone from Total by Verizon and activate it on Tracfone's cheapest plan for $15/month ($10 with auto refill) to start the 60 days unlock clock. (FYI, the sim card comes with the phone can be used to activate the Tracfone service)

Total by Verizon just reduced their iPhone SE 2nd generation from $149.99 to $99.99 [totalbyverizon.com].

Similar to other Tracfone deals. The phone will be unlocked automatically after 60 days since activation. You only need to pay one month of service, not 2 months. I just got my iPhone SE 3nd generation unlocked from the previous front page deal.

Phone $99.99 + $30 1 month of service = $129.99 plus taxes.

This may not be as fast as the iPhone SE 3nd gen for $149.99 but should be better if you don't want to spend extra for back up.

Does it get unlocked after 60 days even if the phone is outside US (without removing the SIM)?

Eg. lets say the phone is activated on 9/12/23 with a one month plan, phone is in USA on 10/12 ( 30 days).. If I take the phone to other country on November 1st, does the phone still get unlocked automatically on 11/12.

Thanks in advance for your input.

I understand the limitations of the 2020 SE but planned to use the phone as an ipod, with the possibility of using it as a backup phone if needed, so I bought one. Huge mistake. It was dead on arrival—the battery would not charge. I did an on line chat at the Total by Verizon website and was told a dead phone wasn't their problem, and I would have to deal with Apple Support. Really? But, admitting defeat, I scheduled a Geek Squad appointment via Apple Support. The Geek Squad guy confirmed that the battery was dead, and advised that I chat with someone else at Total by Verizon. So, I headed home and called the support line number and was connected with a TracFone representative who I could not understand (and she was having as much trouble understanding me). She had me give her the IMEI so she could authorize a return but I absolutely could not follow the rest of the conversation so I finally told her that I was very sorry, but I was going to end the conversation. I have now made an appointment with Apple Support at an Apple Store and will try to exchange the phone given that it's under warranty, but given that TracFone has the IMEI and may be expecting the phone to be returned, I don't know whether I will encounter problems. The moral of this long rambling story is that you may want to pass on this deal, because phones that have been sitting on a warehouse shelf for years may be DOA—and given my experience with customer support so far, I suspect there's a good chance I won't get either a working phone or a refund.

I posted that 19 days ago, refurbished iPhones don't last long when they're a reasonable price.
Keep checking the website, they could come back in stock at any time.

How long have you left the charging? I would leave it charging for the longest time you can and if that still doesn't work, try unplugging and replugging a few times. If that doesn't work Apple should be able to swap it on the spot (if in stock) even if the imei was given since its on the warranty.

Yes it gets unlocked automatically, don't remove og sim

Nice thanks for letting us know, I was in the same position as the poster above, my brother wanted a spare phoen for his kid and wanted to get this for him but i wasn't sure if they care if the phone left US service area and is either in Canada etc.

This phone isn't worth $10 don't buy this for anyone other than strictly to use as a phone or text machine.

Complete bullshit currently using 2020 SE and 22 . Both are perfectly fine ( just the 22 has 5g and better battery life)
