Context matters. 8gb is bad for 3070 and above cards because that can limit them from playing demanding games at 1080p at ultra settings without stuttering. This is a little lower than a 3060ti card. Any game/setting combination that requires more than 10gb vram, this card probably couldn't play with good frame rates anyway.

I went ahead and opted for a used 6700 XT from eBay instead which only cost me $245 + tax. I will say I got pretty lucky b/c the seller told me he barely used it for 1 week before buying 3090Ti. God bless that seller.

To give add'l context, I didn't believe the seller when I initially messaged him until after I received the card. The seller literally had the cellophane wrap left on the GPU as if it was brand new and the card was in really clean condition.
