Pic reminds me of how good it was and how bad it got. The writing in the later seasons was horrible.

I felt the same way for a while, but towards the end of his run, Cappaldi actually had some amazing episodes. Some of the best of the new series in my opinion.

Of course, after Cappaldi, it all just fell apart...

You may want to add the description. I'm thinking this is going to be worth at least twice as much by the time collectors know about it in November.

Celebrate the Doctor Who legacy with the Limited Edition New Who Years Blu-ray Collectors Set. With only 6,000 available, this set brings Thirteen Seasons, including the Specials, newly upscaled Seasons 1-4 and exclusive content from Russell T. Davies and David Tennant. Thanks! I'll update. Also, the only other listing I see for this set is from https://www.hdmoviesource.com/Doc.../15071.htm with a price of $299

That's more along the lines of what I was thinking it would be worth. I'm surprised they aren't aiming higher with the initial price. I'll be more surprised if it doesn't sell out before October.

You have to enter the SDCC23 in the promo code box to get it to the 139.99. It worked for me and free shipping even to Alaska.

So it says "newly upscaled" Season 1-4. Does this mean a new remaster from the previously existing Blu-Ray?

If I remember, 1-4 was shot in 720 if I remember right.

I have the following and it's likely the same transfers:

Eccleston: Doctor Who: The Complete First Series (Blu-ray) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A53Q9LU
Tennant: Doctor Who: The Complete David Tennant Collection (Blu-ray) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QWNR7GB

I ended up buying it anyway because I'd prefer to have one set than the four (above plus Matt Smith & Capaldi collections) I currently have and then another for Whitaker.

I have every single episode of Dr. Who, all the way back to the beginning. It took many weeks to download them all and they take up a large chunk of hard drive. It includes all the original series Seasons 1-26, all the newer seasons, the specials, movies, etc. It's over 300 GB of data but it was worth it. Sadly, the early seasons are not that great of quality as you can imagine from before we had HD TV's and such. Still it is very cool thing to have in my collection as I'm a big TV buff.

I also have complete collections of Little House on the Prairie, Gilligan's Island, Dukes of Hazzard, Seinfeld, MASH, Cosby show, I Love Lucy, The Honeymooners, I Dream of Genie, The Waltons, All in the Family, Golden Girls, Star Trek, Andy Griffith, Happy Days, Flintstones, Jetsons, Twilight Zone, Friends, Incredible Hulk, Alfred Hitchcock, A-Team, Buck Rogers, Battlestar Galactica, Maude, Mama's Family, McHale's Navy, Brady Bunch, Miami Vice, Adams Family, Mork & Mindy, Chips, Outer Limits, Dragnet, Facts of Life, Sanford & Son, Good Times, Fresh Prince, The Jeffersons and more.

I use multiple 16GB external hard drives. I still have a ton of shows that I'm trying to track down and get, but some are proving very difficult. Lately I been working on Hee-Haw which sadly, not all episodes have ever been released after they aired. One reason is because the network that owns them, says that some of the earlier episodes are now considered racist or not politically correct in todays society. So because of that, they refuse to release all the older episodes on DVD or let them be issued as reruns. They do allow select episodes to be released as you can find special DVD's and even Time Life put out some of their shows. However, it's just the select ones that the network approved for release.

Another project I'm gonna work on when I have time, is to get all the Disney movies and TV shows, going all the way back to the beginning. That will be easier as that stuff is readily available, but it will entail a HUGE amount of download work and new Hard Drives to store them on. It will probably take several months of downloading once I begin, so I have put it off while I concentrate of completing my list of other classic shows.
One of my favorites that I have on hdd is all of "Dream On" from HBO
