Either get a new 6700 XT for slightly more or go used. This ain't worth it.

These are used/shelf units that come in a brown box, no retail packaging and described to have cosmetic damages. No free returns even for defective/DOA, they require RMA at your own expense. All of this is described in the return policy if you don't believe me.

This is one of the only Zotac models from the entire 30 series that *didn't* prematurely fail on me. Zotac cards are bad - REALLY bad - but this one is fine. That is, it would be fine except $300 for a severely outdated GPU with 8GB of VRAM is a bad joke.

Let them sit on this stock. Nvidia and their partners deserve to take the hit for overpricing the shit out of the 40 series. This card isn't even close to worth $300.

I also agree.
Zotac has poor build quality. Fans will rattle, poor pcb, etc.

Ah, so that's why this deal isn't that upvoted. I was thinking 300 for a 3070 wasn't a bad deal since 275 for a 3060ti was consider an amazing deal at best buy, but that was considered new.

My 1080 zotac fan shroud is Hella rattly... it chatters. Still working though.

I swore off Zotac when we couldn't buy a video card...the Nvidia 30 series. .. none were in stock, but some how Zotac decided it'd be cool to release mining rigs with many cards. .

Only EVGA had some GPUs in stock for gamers during the pandemic and now they are almost bankrupt

Don't play horribly optimized games like harry potter, tlou and re4. 3070 is still fine, average fps is 10% higher than 6700xt on most games.

For 1440p and up (not that I'd recommend doing much at 4K with either) I would agree... but if you're looking for high refresh rate 1080p, I'd actually go with the 3070... it's a bit more powerful and 8gb cards still have a few years left for the newest games ONLY at 1080p.

A week ago I would have said DLSS2 would give you a bit more legs than FSR, but the FSR3 announcement has me rethinking that a bit... though FSR3 should be as or nearly as good on the 3070 as well and include some DLSS3-like features. On the flip side, if RT is a big priority, the 3070's more capable RT performance and DLSS 3.5 together could make a 3070 interesting there as well. It's an interesting time to be a gamer...

Also, I've had good luck with Zotac cards since the 20-series, and had very bad luck with older 10-series cards. I think they turned a corner on build-quality with the 20-series.

The pricing on this pretty meh IMO. I pretty sure you could snag one used for cheaper on eBay.

I've got an old GF 750 Ti which I use in my test bench for doing/testing builds before plopping them into a case, and it's still going strong. That probably has skewed my perception of Zotac: they're one of the OEMs I'm looking at to upgrade my 2080 Super to a 4000 series.

I'm now thinking the 750 Ti isn't a terribly complex card, and its unable to run demanding games, so it's probably had it easy. I'm going to take to heart the anecdotal evidence other SD'ers have chimed in on this brand - and put them a bit further down the list...

Good points but I wouldn't call 3070 severely outdated already, it's more than capable of 1440p gaming even in 2023 (also keep in mind the most popular GPU is still 1650 as per steam survey!)
