Am I missing something, or am I the only one frustrated by these Costco ads that show the amount off but you can't find out the price?

I believe their prices vary somewhat by region so they wouldn't put all of them in the national ad

I tried their smoked and wild caught smoked salmon. Idk, but it tasted different between both.
I agree on the darker colored sockeye salmon. I didn't like the taste or texture. However, their other other smoked salmon, also in the attached 2 pack, was much better.

Thanks, OP.

PSA. Keep your paper receipts, people. Costco pulling a fast one on members by eliminating purchase history from the app. I assume it has to do with price adjustments. All I see now is August receipts..nothing pulls up before then.

for shame, Costco!

Way to take things literally and pick one item. I'm referring to as a whole. You won't find better prices as a whole which is why you're a member at Costco. I guarantee you ain't shopping at Staples for most of your general use purposes. There's a reason their membership retention rate is unparalleled in the business and why their revenue in the past three years shot up 50%. People are saving money by shopping at Costco.

Your K-Cup example ignores that Costco has a ton of variety at cheaper prices. Their Kirkland K-Cups are way better with 120 cups for around $35. The K-Cups you listed routinely go on sale for $37... If you can find those prices regularly at other stores, show me. Every K-Cup brand practically has an $8 coupon every other month.
When it comes to food, a lot of costco's items are much cheaper if you have the time to wait for a good sale. Chicken breasts have gone on sale around here in PA for 1.60-1.70 a pound for example. Grapes are 99 cents a pound all the time somewhere. Lidl puts 100 k-cups on sale for 20-25 dollars all the time if they are in your area.

Not saying costco doesn't have great prices on some things. Appliances are fantastic but overall I wouldn't say unbeatable.

Not really. Costco's prices are pretty much unbeatable so you're still getting a good deal anyways. The extra savings is just a bonus for me. But I do agree that it would be nice if they advertised the prices.
This statement is too broad. Like... There are some things that are cheaper at costco, some more expensive. Are we comparing sale to sale pricing? Or regular pricing to regular pricing?

As the friend group cheap bastard, I actually have examples.
Costco is ONE CENT more expensive when compared to Sam's club for instant oatmeal.
There was a point in time where cup noodle ramen was an UNBEATABLE price, but then COVID happened and then costco was the MOST expensive for cup ramen and recently pricing matched Walmart/Aldi's regular pricing. For the last 2 months, Amazon sold cup ramen (different brand, so not apples to apples) for cheaper than Costco, shipped! Unfortunately Amazon realized they were losing money and raised their prices a lot.

Finally - Last sale, Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal was on sale. This compared to Sam's club with same size boxes, Costco was actually 80ish? cents cheaper than Sam's Club, which you can see pricing for online.

As consumers, we really shouldn't pledge allegiance to any particular store unless you really enjoy their customer service or something that can't be replicated. Due to external factors, Costco really hasn't gone above and beyond once they stopped the infinite return policy (for obvious financial reasons) I would wager it's gone downhill. Also - Sam's Club offers self cell phone check out. Costco I'm waiting 20 mins in SELF CHECKOUT? C'mon! Costco needs to step up!
