Great sounding headphones, but insanely annoying to try to use in bed. The touch controls just freak out and constantly pause the audio. I'm sure there's a setting to turn it off, but for this price they should be more usable.
Still recommend if you want high end BT on ears though.
If you get a choice between xm4 vs xm5... kind of like they way the xm4 is stored and smaller casing for traveling.. but input on sound quality between the 2 ?

negligible difference in sound.the xm4 is already very good with bigger drivers. xm5 has better noice cancellation with more frequencies and better call quality.
xm5 for a call quality and noice cancellation
xm4 for portability and cost. sound is draw imo with the xm5.

With Woot you never know until you get the product & can not trust their website on what it says.
People keep saying they're an Amazon company, but that does not mean much.
Amazon bought them a few years back. Amazon does not operate them & their pricing, return policy, etc. has nothing to do with Amazon.
Has anyone here looked in depth at whether the noise cancellation is better in the XM5, XM4, or QC45? The RTINGS comparison of XM4 and XM5 says, in the summary, "the XM5 have a better microphone performance and their ANC is blocks out more mid and treble range noise … [but] the [XM5] ANC has a harder time blocking out the low rumble of bus engines". However, the actual test results say "The Sony WH-1000XM4 have a fantastic noise isolation performance. Their ANC can block out the low rumbles of bus or plane engines, and they even perform better in this regard than their successor, the Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless. …. Compared to the XM4, the XM5's ANC can block out a slightly less ambient chatter." Thus, overall this reads like the XM4's noise cancellation is actually better. In general the reviewers seem to like the Sony noise cancellation better than the Bose. I am mostly focused on noise cancellation. I only use headphones when traveling on an airplane and want to make the engine noise and passenger talking and flight crew announcements much quieter or inaudible.

Sound Guys (soundguys.com; a well-established test group) gives these very high marks. Specifically... "In our tests, [the ANC] offered a tangible benefit compared to previous iterations of the WH-1000X line, as well as notably better performance in the low end when compared to headphones like the Bose QuietComfort 45, Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700, and Sony WH-1000XM4"
