These fans are not good and having defects. Recently I bought 2 of these fans and returned. It's a waste of time and money spent for electrician.

I bought and returned 2 recently. The fans didn't reliably respond to the remotes. After looking through the reviews on Home depot, seems like its a common issue.
I have one from a few years ago which is still working fine. Dunno whats wrong with these newer ones.

I have 2 wood grain versions of this and the remotes suck. Very unresponsive. One only works if pointing upside down precisely under the center of the motor and the other works maybe 1.5ft away

Truth. Read the reviews. Specifically the remote does not reliably register with the fan, their direction is to repair but it is unsuccessful, the next guidance is returning the fan.

I returned a larger model Home Decorator fan the other day because the holes on the motor housing were not properly aligned with the fan blades. It was a complete waste of 2 hours time as it was the last step in the installation. Unreal. Never again. Stick with Hunter or Minka.

Disagree & purchased/installed two of these last year. Remotes work great, they move air & the DC motor is basically silent.
