You can use the Docker Wyze Bridge addon to pump the video feed into frigate NVR addon for object detection, video recording, and playback in home Assistant.

Overall it works, but I feel like the wyze cameras could be better. For a real security system I'd go with another camera. For watching my cats it's fine

Haven't seen the v3 Home Depot deal pop up in a while. Dunno if it'll come back. You can flash the rtsp firmware onto the v3 at least and that'll help incorporate into other services

My experience has been positive so far! I picked up a 4 pack of V3's a few months back and was pretty surprised how good of shape they were in since I didn't know what to expect.

I'd definitely buy them again!

From past experiences, yes, but you need to solder on to the chip to install Tasmota.

Have had the cams for years and all in HA. I've used em with the native ip camera integration and the motioneye add on. No soldering or any of that. If your looking for it to cook dinner, you might be pulling out a soldering iron. Of course serious folks have nvrs or a blue iris setups which also integrate into HA for the most part seamlessly.

This was a frontpage deal 2 months ago @ $50.

Does anyone know if I can use one of the Wi-Fi Smart Plugs to monitor my EV charger? It's a 110VAC slow charger that charges at 12 AMPs max.

Should be fine. Most wifi smart plugs are rated for up to 15amps max. As long as you don't exceed 15A, you should be good.
