Sadly, not for me due to screen flicker (PWM) which is rarely used on the ThinPad line.

Although technically 2 generations old, these 5625U/5825U CPUs are still very good, they are based on Zen 3 architecture. The 7530U and 7730U processors are just rebrands of these processors.

If you have an Amex card, check your Amex Offers for $100 off $500 at Lenovo - that makes this really slick!

Just to add more info, the 6000 series was a minor refresh of the Zen3 architecture. The major change there was the GPU architecture which went from Vega in the 5000 series to RDNA2 (same as in both PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam Deck) in the 6000 series.

Performance is equivalent to a similar core count 11th gen but the 5000 series Ryzen are way more power efficient and runs cooler so they are better chips overall. Intel 11th gen does have thunderbolt while no Ryzen 5000 series had USB 4.0 yet, so that's something to consider.

Amex changed something on their end recently. I used an Amex offer two weeks ago and it took almost two hours to get the confirmation.

Edit: of course I say this and the Amex offer confirmation email shows up 12 minutes after I placed my order for the $499 model plus Florida tax.

How is the build quality on those? I've been looking around but Lenovo seems to reuse the Yoga 7 name for multiple refreshes, which makes it difficult. I had a Thinkpad years ago which was solid and then an Ideapad which was more flimsy, but lasted me 4 years before an electrical storm took it out.

I got one. Just recently went back to school and I couldn't do my lab because my stupid iPad Pro couldn't run the software. So I had to use the computer in the lab which was terrible. Good price for something to use at school.

I'm there with you on jumping around all the Lenovo product lines with different build qualities. The review that was posted just offered a line saying it was the typical Thinkpad build quality, so having heard that I jumped in.

Btw, I think the silver version of the Ryzen 7 Pro model is different from the Black model.

If you notice the MSRP is higher on the silver model and it says that the silver model has a

720P HD with Array Microphone and Privacy Shutter + 5MP World Facing

The black one doesn't list the 5MP world-facing camera. If you look closely at the pictures the black one doesn't have the second camera on the top of the screen either.

So, the silver one might be the better model for the price.
