Sadly, not for me due to screen flicker (PWM) which is rarely used on the ThinPad line.

Although technically 2 generations old, these 5625U/5825U CPUs are still very good, they are based on Zen 3 architecture. The 7530U and 7730U processors are just rebrands of these processors.

If you have an Amex card, check your Amex Offers for $100 off $500 at Lenovo - that makes this really slick!

Don't think that's accurate, will confirm upon estimated delivery of a black one on Wednesday. Everywhere I have looked, pictures and videos show this series has a backlit keyboard.

Anybody else having hell of a time getting an Amex card to work? I tried multiple browsers, signed in and out, virtual card vs. actual card info, etc. and nothing is letting my Amex work. Amex rep confirmed that there was a singular pre-auth that they granted and no declined transactions, but Lenovo keeps saying the card # is not valid.

Does anyone know if the Amex $100 off $500 offer is for transactions before or after tax? I purchased the $459 one + a filler which is slightly over $500 after tax a couple of hours ago, but haven't received any offer confirmation from Amex yet. I did some research and found most people say the offer is for after tax, but I'm not sure why the confirmation hasn't arrived yet, as usually it takes about 5 mins to get to my mailbox.

Still unsure about this, but with AmEx and NJ being tax exempt this week, very tempted to replace my X230 :/

EDIT: Looks like I missed out on the best option anyway

I did the same and my purchase was 506 after tax. i got the amex email in less than 5 minutes.

People in high tax states of 9% or more will not need a filler and will have the best deal of them all.
