The fit on these flannels is TERRIBLE. If you're shaped like a box with little stubby T-Rex arms then you'll love these, otherwise you're going to end up in a situation where the sleeve length is uncomfortably short OR you're swimming in way too much fabric around your midsection.

I wonder what the difference is between Amazon basics and essentials is.

I disagree from the commenter above. Flannels always shrink so go one size up and it should be fine in sleeves. Mid section is not any bigger than other flannels and this is less than $15. I bought two last year for the same price and adding the third to my casual winter collection.

What's your height and weight? If you're a big ol' boy whose width is close to your height they might fit ok I guess? I'm 5'10" and 180lbs and these are dumpy as hell.

The fabric on these sucks, too. Probably half the weight or less of my Lands End flannels and not even as nice as the Target store brand ones I've bought in the past. Other than the price there really isn't much to like about these.

It doesn't even fit well on the 2nd (bigger) model

6 feet. 200 lbs. I wear size 34 jeans. I don't think I qualify as a big ol' boy, but maybe I am in denial. My experience hasn't been as terrible as yours. I don't find them any better or worse than my other flannels.

Maybe it's just a preference thing then. Do you get an L or XL in these?

I usually buy the Lands End or LL Bean "fitted" or "athletic" flannels because I prefer a tailored look. I found that these fit more like Carhartt workwear which is usually much too "relaxed" for me.

XL. Athletic and fitted are almost always too tight in chest and arms for me, and I am not a fan of gym bro look, so I go with regular fit most of the time.

100% cotton shrinks. I've wasted so much money on 100% cotton. Frown

I couldn't care less about a label, so I had high hopes for Amazon essentials. Worst fit I've ever experienced in any brand of clothingโ€ฆ Hanes is where's is at if you don't care about name brand. 5'11", 185lbs for reference
