I would think freezer is more harsh than refrigerator.
So silly of me.
Lids are available, but at a price that, even on sale, you might as well just buy sets.
Get some better ones or get the silicone ones.
The silicone ones are a bit annoying to wash but other than that they're great (and silicone is generally regarded as more food safe than plastic).
