The 2 year limited warranty they advertise as being included, is nonexistent. I tried getting support for it, and Target guest services (overseas call center) literally gave me contact info for the Chinese distributor, but no info on how to get a replacement under warranty.

You seem to be the exception, not the rule, unfortunately. A lot of the one star reviews talk of it dying in a month, or lighting on fire, or smelling like melted plastic. I guess that you get what you pay for these days.

Most toasters work great and last near forever. For a cheap toaster I like the Bella brand. I have never seen one fail and they have a good design
