Mine died 8 months in.

The 2 year limited warranty they advertise as being included, is nonexistent. I tried getting support for it, and Target guest services (overseas call center) literally gave me contact info for the Chinese distributor, but no info on how to get a replacement under warranty.

Got this for $5 regular price a while ago, burning plastic smell. I only use it a handful of times per yr and it looks nice I guess

Isn't this one of those cheap ones that Target usually sells for $5 on Black Friday, and it breaks in less than a month?

We've had this for almost 3 years and it's still going strong. Bread, Bagels, Muffins, Ego Waffles. It'll toast anything just fine.

You seem to be the exception, not the rule, unfortunately. A lot of the one star reviews talk of it dying in a month, or lighting on fire, or smelling like melted plastic. I guess that you get what you pay for these days.

Toasters either are good or they aren't. I've bought a variety of toasters at different price points. Probably 10 percent are defective but millions of happy people never leave a review.

Most toasters work great and last near forever. For a cheap toaster I like the Bella brand. I have never seen one fail and they have a good design
