They are pretty impressive for plastic, but they are plastic. It's not a lifetime tool despite any warranty. If you do snap it 10 years down the road, you'll probably not have the receipt, or you'd probably have bought it from a non-authorized seller that prevents warranty redemption.

I like Fiskars a lot, but when you can get such a vastly better tool from Corona for $7.75 with a cushioned handle and graduated marks for measuring depth, I can't fathom paying the $3 for the plastic Fiskars unless maybe it's for a kid. A metal trowel can retain a thin edge much better than plastic will. That's why they made the plastic one so pointy, because it won't retain a thin, sharp edge.

Little different profile on the edge, but this seems like a much better value.

It's a tiny plastic shovel, every photo on Amazon is of a broken shovel....shocking.

This is Trash. I bought it last time it was here. Broke the first time I used it to move one plant from one pot to another. The moment you apply the minimal pressure it breaks. Material is super brittle.

I prefer dollar tree instead of this. It is full metal and handle is rubber.

Fiskars doesn't care about a receipt or where you bought. I just had them replace a pair of shears the other day. I just submitted a pic of my broken shears to their website, and they sent me a new pair with no questions asked.

Nice. I have a bunch of Fiskars shovels , shears, and garden tools. I'll have to remember that. Hopefully they'll keep honoring that, but in my lifetime I've observed that just about every company reduces their warranty over time. I will always err on the side of choosing a quality tool that is unlikely to require warranty service. The Corona trowel is both a better tool, and has a lifetime warranty.

If someone wants Fiskars, I'd just get this:
