Personally, I prefer Roku over Google TV and for a TCL the price seems about right. 85" is tempting if you're just going to watch sports or host movie nights.

However, if you're watching 4k HDR content on this thing, I expect that it will do very well. The biggest thing is knowing how to use the TV effectively. It handles black levels like a champ even without QLED technology. For most videos on Youtube, turning off motion smoothing is recommended. Motion smoothing is great for Sports action, but it can cause processing issues on some content like Scenic landscape videos where the camera is constantly panning different locations.
Also, for casting while the TV is off, TCL idiotically puts the feature in the Wi-Fi section instead of the Power section. Once I figured this out, this TV literally checked all the boxes that I need it for. Just make sure you don't have sunlight shining harshly on it and the colors will really pop.
