Why do people need backlit keys? I keep seeing the "it's 2023!" argument.... Ya it's 2023 how do you still not know how to type without looking at the keyboard?

As for it using batteries instead of a non-replaceable rechargeable... there's a little thing called "rechargeable batteries" and it takes seconds to swap versus this keyboard becoming useless when its built-in battery eventually dies.

It's 24 bucks. Everyone should always consider their specific use case when buying a keyboard. This doesn't meet yours apparently.

Had it for a year and haven't had to replace AAA batteries since I bought it.

Only as a fun counter point: I pass on game controllers, wireless keyboards, etc. that *do* have rechargeable batteries. I prefer my own rechargeable AA/AAA batteries and smart charger. If (when) built-in batteries die, the device is often useless as you can't easily replace the battery.
I finally broke down and got a smart charger after years of using the bundled ones sold with batteries. It's definitely better.

Anyone that buy this keyboard will get stutters as batteries drain fast..Don't waste your money on Logitech products..

i bought it but i keep my old cheap 2.4g Rii for backup. it never failed me. heavy use batteries last long time and i keep spare eneloops ready. i just bought this BT POS. The downside is i can't connect to tv and no dedicated media and PC shut down buttons.

I use this at work. Works well but a little annoyed that within a few months of purchase, the battery compartment cover became loose somehow and kept coming off on its own. I just taped it to stay on.

I've used this keyboard for 10 days, not heavy use all day long. Original batteries. This morning get a pop up "Device has critical battery". WTF logitech. My POS Rii lasts 4+ months with heavy use 2 AAA. Am i doing something wrong? Is it meant to be turned off when not in use? I know kb BT goes to sleep if i don't use it for a few hours then it lags on key press or i can hit a random key to wake it. But i don't think i need to turn off the power switch every day. Very disappointed if i have to replace batteries every 10 days.
