Just remember this PC has proprietary Lenovo motherboard and BIOS, a GPU with Lenovo flashed software, and Lenovo drivers that are recycled for different machines. You frequently run into compability problems when trying to update parts and limitations when trying to modify BIOS settings.

I'd highly recommend looking looking into a prebuilt that has name brand hardware instead of Lenovo components. Specifically I've seen ABS prebuilts that actually have name brand.

Some of those other prebuilt companies have proprietary motherboards or bios and you can't easily update to retail. I have seen this in multiple companies including ASUS prebuilts that use retail boards.

Yea, of course. That's what I'm warning against and Lenovo in particular has extremely limiting hardware/bios. There are limited options in the prebuilt world and I mentioned one of them in my post. You gotta order a custom pc company or grab something with a company like ABS

ABS, Cyberpower, iBuypower, Skytech also has proprietary motherboards or bios, non retail versions, most do, because they don't want you to overlook and break anything they would have to cover under warranty. Best way to avoid that is config one from the websites, but they are usually more, the ready to ship usually have that issue. Even Microcenter is starting to do this with their brand.
