About the game:
Ultrahand: Using the new Ultrahand ability, Link can pick up, move, and rotate almost any object, and can even attach objects together to create bridges, vehicles, and more!
Fuse: Magically fuse almost any object to Link's current weapon, shield, or arrow to increase durability, damage, or even add a new effect. Experiment with lots of different combinations to come up with surprising—and sometimes hilarious—results!
Ascend: Add a new dimension to your exploration with Ascend, which gives Link the ability to pass through solid objects above him. Rise up through ceilings, hillsides, and even certain enemies to create seemingly impossible shortcuts.
Recall: Use Recall to make objects in motion move backward through time, letting Link ride fallen boulders skyward, recover thrown weapons, or send projectiles back where they came from.

The incredible game at an incredible price. We play as a family and we are 300 hours in. We are close to 100% in the game, but it's still so much fun. Endless combinations of things you can build and do.
If you have kids who like to build or engineer, this game will keep their creativity side occupied for hours and hours on end. My son is 6 and loves to build and show me his crazy builds.
Ridiculous take. This game is a MASSIVE change from BotW, with a map that's more than double the size and an engineering mechanic beyond anything any other RPG has ever offered.

But I think that deal is a new signup. I'd be glad to skip that to lose $10 and maybe save the $30 off for a future QVC deal.
Although based on SD, I think all QVC sells these days is Tears of the Kingdom…

Great game, obliterates the need to play the first one honestly.
Kind of leaves a bitter taste in my mouth knowing many of the QOL improvements could have easily been added to the first game as DLC or a patch, but they decided to sell us another game with mostly reused assets.

When the game was released a couple months ago someone here on SD was saying that the game was almost identical to BotW. It caused hesitation but I bought it if for no other reason but to support the makers because I loved BotW. In the first day or two it felt to be very similar with the graphics, game play mechanics, storyline, and characters. First impressions are often wrong. The world is easily two to three times larger. The shrine puzzles usually require the additional skills to solve. Lots of side quests. Lots of armor sets. Lots of familiar but tougher enemies. Many new enemies. The storylines often have overlap with the ones in BotW but it is never the same. Heck, the stables even had my old horses still housed waiting for me to return and ride them. The Hyrule world looks identical to the older game but it is beautiful. The biggest difference in the games is the addition of a dark underworld and a sky island world which have unique awesome challenges of their own. These new areas will need to be revisited frequently in order to advance the game.
In other words TotK is a bigger better beast good for days and days of entertainment. Worth the price, especially at this price point.
