I've used them for years, but I'll be honest and say I don't really know if they make a difference. My wife who doesn't use them, often catches just as many as I do. My dad who also does not use them, also sometimes beats me pretty bad when were out fishing. I think maybe it helps with a few fish once in a while when the bite is slow, but overall, I think it does not make much difference. I believe the fish is just targeting the jig and not the scent in most cases.
