Good screen, 1080p IR camera, powerful Intel CPU, 2 thundebolt, 130W rtx 4070...
No numpad would be a negative.
If the thermals are up to the task, then you can't get much better for the price.

4080 laptop outpace the 3090 laptop
also not everyone need the power of an 4080 / 4090 also not everyone have the funds for an 2000-3500 $ laptop

This CPU is ~15% faster, it comes with half the ram (yes you can upgrade, but you have to do both). The screen on this looks better 400 vs 300 nits, but smaller. If you're gonna use it more or less as a desktop that isn't relevant (that is my plan).
The 4070 is basically the same as a 3080 TI but the latter has 2x the VRAM. The power supply on this is 100w less. This has 1 more thunderbolt 4 at the expense of a USB port and a mini DP.
They appear to cost pretty much the same (this is ~$100 less which is what the ram costs).
EDIT: fark it. Black Friday is a long way off yet and my gaming desktop is 10+ years old. In for one, thanks OP.
