Edit: Not sure why I would get downvoted for providing a secondary option. Review link between the two units. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bdo44c2
Edit2: Geekbuying site lists it for RG35XX for $50. And so what if it doesn't have Wifi, the only downside for me is that you can't automatically download game cartridge artwork. It is highly unlikely people are going to use it for net play. You need someone with basically the same device/firmware/version as you.
It's a nice little piece of hardware. Reviews said the ergonomics were bad and I don't think I'd want to play on this thing for 8 hour sessions or anything, but for a quick 20 minutes on the train or before bed, it's a good size and feels nice.
Screen is beautiful. The OS that comes preinstalled isn't bad. Comes with a decent amount of games so if you didn't feel like tinkering with it, you could buy it and be done.
HOWEVER
Consider the following steps which will really take this thing to the next level:
- Buy a high quality 128gb SD card (the cards that come with these are unreliable)
- Install Onion OS (https://github.com/OnionUI/Onion)
- Follow a tutorial like this one for getting ROMs (https://archive.org/details/tiny-best-set-go)
You'll have a great little gaming system with more games than you know what to do with. It's worth noting that you can just play all these ROMs on your phone if you have an android, but it's nice to have a little dedicated machine.

I can't remember the OS of the RG35XX, but people seem to love Onion OS or whatever the Miyoo mini plus has.
The original is very solid, only ever owned the original and a GP2x

Also it just won't play much above the SNES/Genesis era.

My suggestions to anyone considering it:
I really like the Plus. Pop it into a Yume Retro case. The included micro SD card is unreliable and the stock OS sucks. Grab a Sandisk Extreme micro SD card and load up Onion OS.
