This is a great price for something I was planning to buy next year. Is there an expiration to it? Anyone know?

We live out on the edge of the exurbs, our bottom two acres are in a flood plain, and two of our four neighbors are operating farms, one over 100 acres the other over 1000 acres. We have deer, deer mice, and the voles. They all love my fruit plants, though I discovered the deer like morning glories more so we plant them for deer food so the fruit plant foliage is only chomped on a little. We also have ticks.

My daughter is for some reason a tick magnet. She HATES them, never wears shorts, and at times rubber bands her jeans cuffs over her boots. I explained to her that the pesticide is a synthetic derivative of a natural insecticide (the name of the plant with the natural insecticide is pyrethrum daisies). She hesitated, and yes I explained that means you have more healthy rodent babies. Since the voles, mice, and rabbits have over the years killed several of her favorite blueberry plants (they burrow in the mulch and compost and girdle the base, killing the plant), she'll continue checking for ticks and will trust the barred owls to keep the voles and mice mostly under control (works great in spring, but by autumn they are mostly done raising chicks). I'd love having a weasel, but we have a sweet neighbor a few houses down who raises chickens. Our grey foxes were killed by coyotes. Frown

Rat snakes are wickedly effective, but they hunt or drive out the rodents, then they leave, and mice reproduce wickedly fast. I guess the issue is are ticks or rodents the bigger problem for you...
