I think testing seems to show that Knipex are generally the best, but Channellock are only about one step below that.

Very true however with HF it's lifetime warranty. I had a few break and each time HF replaced it. So yeah there is that. And it's also depending on if you're using it for personal small work and not using it for your professional work as well.

Knipex is way more expensive than this, they're also imported which drives up cost. They have good quality and the fit and finish of Knipex is very hard to beat. The German's have set the bar very high. Having said all that, Channel Lock stuff seems a little crude, some of their castings and finishing work aren't the best but they are made out of tough steel, have a good warranty, they've been around since 1886 so I think they're doing something right. They haven't sold out to over seas manufacturing yet. Eh they work - it's not a new car, spend the money and you can make your own opinion.
