I wouldn't buy this if I'm going to upgrade my phone soon. iPhone 15 reported to have USB-C in replacement of Lightning port.
Great point. They may come out with an adapter but it may be janky. Although $100 is a little steep. I assume the ability to connect to your playstation from your phone is just the sony app and all this is is just the controller?
You can find the Kishi used for around $20. Is that a better option?
Personally I think so. I've tried the Backbone 2 different times and just couldn't like it. The big reason why: joysticks. Original Kishi (and Gamevice/Gamevice Flex) has far better sticks near console quality which is important in anything requiring you to aim.
The mini sticks on the Backbone and Kishi v2 just don't work for me, but I love everything else about them.
IMO, not worth it. You have to subscribe to backbone yearly plan. Wait for PS new 7 or 8 inch screen if you're using it specifically with your PS5.
it has some games, but most are not so great on an iphone.
Beware. It does not fit well with most iPhone protective cases because that's what happened to me. Had to get a specific slim case (magsafe brand) to fit well or you're okay taking it off the case every time when you play.
I would wait and get the PlayStation portal instead.
