20-30 minutes?? Ok, "real time", maybe 10 minutes, which includes carrying my tool box outside. Like I said, she has a Jeep so no jack needed. If you'd like I'll videotape it next time for ya. I also have drive-on ramps for my other vehicles. If you're taking 30 minutes I suggest you just take it somewhere! 🤣

I have a question for the car pros here.

If my car has been on traditional oil for ever (100k miles), is it bad to switch to full synthetic now? I heard switching to full synthetic after your car has been on conventional oil will cause leak because synthetic is smaller molecules than conventional and will "slip" through all the tiny cracks.

If there is a spot where oil could leak out in your engine, then synthetic oil is more likely to leak than conventional. However, synthetic oil would not cause the leak.

Used Kirkland oil in a 2016 Toyota Highlander last oil change. Started noticing a little engine tap at idle after putting some miles on it. I know there's data out there that says all the synthetic oils are similar but I'm going back to pennzoil ultra on my next change.

Unless things has changed I know few years back most places don't fill it fully usual 3/4 to the full mark and call it good.

Yes, it cost me $105.00 to change the oil in my C8 where the dealership wanted $250.00. It only takes 30 minutes at the most to change the oil.

Depends on the filter. The ones that replace the just the filter element takes longer because you have to drain the oil from the filter, then open it, replace the o-rings and filter. That adds about 10 min to the job.
