I have the M12 version of this and the plate on the bottom will not stay locked in position. It looks like the M18 uses the same system?

Had no issues with mine but I don't use it very extensively either though.

There are 1200 units available to ship but had the same problem of not able to to the cart. It may be dead but I will try again later.

Update. Just saw the other SD post with the tool only plus free 5ah battery for $199 and $110 after the Hack. Maybe HD caught this and ended the $30 discount.

There is a lever tension adjustment screw under the plastic cover that can loosen over time due to vibrations. Pop the cover off, tighten the screw, and bob's your uncle.

Loctite. Probably blue or purple since you may want to adjust it again in the future.

For this price might be better keeping battery on this deal?

Really depends. For me I have a ton of batteries. These batteries can be hacked down to around $80 pretty regularly.

Be careful out there guys. I had set a battery to be picked up at another location and didnt need it so let it expire expecting a refund. Looked today and saw that I never got the refund and they marked the item as picked up a few days after it was set to expire. Had to chase my refund through HD support.

Always cancel it after you pickup item you wanted if doing two pickup locations... All thru the website.

Are you contacting support to cancel it? There is no option on the website to cancel the order once it's ready for pickup.
