According to Keepa, it's been steadily dropping in price over the last year, bringing it down to this level. In that context, it's probably a good value.

However, one of the pics on Amazon says "survives 1 meter drop". That leads me to believe it wouldn't survive a 4, 5 or 6ft drop. Sounds pretty fragile - I think I'll pass.

Durability hasn't been an issue i haven't ever had one break but I don't go dropping my headlamps alot either. However, because its normal alkaline it doesn't last long and isn't as bright as the li-on batteries. Of course the li-on batteries are also bigger and heavier. This has decent use cases.
