Cheapest clearance item I see is $5 so you could get it for $5 less if using NEWQVC30 rather than the $20 off coupon. I just used the $20 off one.

Not a troll comment - it's old technology.
A quick Google search will find this (from PC Mag) - "The CDMA/GSM split ended, in theory, as carriers all switched to LTE, a single, global 4G standard, starting in 2010"

(Also Tracfone has been owned by Verizon for over a year and is ending the old ATT/TMo services soon and forcing everyone to VZ only).

I got this exact phone for $90 in April of 2022. It's a good phone for the price. But the battery after 12-14 months is really meh. Dies quick, recharges randomly.

Too bad I harvested some flip phone deals (2 for $35) and now will have TF service until early 2026. Of course, much better tech might be offered by then.

I got the same thing. Can we take out the sim card from the flip phone and put it in this MotoG phone? And then we use the sim card that comes with this MotoG phone to extend the service of our existing simcard (from the flip phone) by another year. No?

The flip phones can go to ebay or get donated.

Sims are linked to imei of phone they are activated with. Swapping can seriously mess up your service & it can be extremely frustrating trying to get it corrected.

I anticipated there might be issues when swapping SIMs, but I did it over a year ago with three different phones and all three still work as expected. One swap was from a TCL flip phone to a Motorola smart phone. One swap was a Tracfone AT&T SIM from a BYOD Galaxy A10e to a Tracfone A51.

The non-Verizon sims aren't as much of a problem - but since Verizon bought TF a year or so ago there have been lots of issues reported with sim swapping. Since TF Verizon is doing away with the old TF lines using ATT/TMo soon (possibly end of year) it's recommended to do it the right way by activating either a new BYOP sim or the one that comes with the phone (which is the only way to get the yr of service).
