It looks like they cut prices on the Model X and Model X Plaid. The base Model X now sells for $79,990 while the Plaid now sells for $89,990. All color options are included too. It also seems as if it might now qualify for a tax credit.

Edit: Model S prices were slashed too.

Model S base model $74,990
Model S Plaid $89,990

If it's within 8 years, Tesla replaces your battery for free. After that it's about $20k or whatever the market price is at the time
What is the criteria for battery replacement?

Just get the 5 seater, take it to a Tesla Certified shop and get the seats added for $1500.
This is a thing? Same to go to a 6 seater?

If you use the tesla insurance, I pay $245 a month and my "driving score" is around 85.
$245/month. $500/month for that other guy.

I must be old, because those monthly insurance prices sound like car payments to me.

Glad I got my Plaid on release. $18k price drop in a day?! That's not their typical grand or two drop that stings but is easy to get over. I don't know how I'd handle this if I'd have picked one up recently
How much was it when released

You can't have everything. Tesla is not as luxurious as other manufacturers, but it has the charging network, range and performance that no one can beat. To me, the charging network and the range are the highest priority.
Luxury, refueling network, range, and performance... I know it's a case of apples and oranges, but to me that sounds like a case for a luxury hybrid.

We bought a used 2018 75D X early last year for the same price as a new one now. I sorta feel like as if I invested in bitcoin. Resale value just tanked for sure.
I bet the 🦀 lawn ornament that was on SD a few years back would have been a better ROI

They ever fix the easy RF hack that let you apply gas or breaks from outside tesla yet? Even the flipper can control your car without your permission

Uhhh how much are you spending on rent/mortgage!?

If you have mortgage then your take home pay is like $9500 per month at $150k. The model x costs about $8000 per year if you own it for 8 years (after tax credit.). Not too crazy.
Don't forget insurance and maintenance, parts do need replacing, especially if you really think you're going to keep it that long. Paying for the car over 8 years sounds crazy to me but to each their own.

I know 6 tesla owners (friends/family), model s and model 3. Most have had their cars for longer than a year, zero problems. They're the easiest cars on the planet to maintain. I'm so glad I'll never waste hours of my life in a dealership service department ever again. Thank god.
I'd say another bonus is losing a day at the dealership buying the damn thing. No more "let me talk to the financing department or manager" BS tactics trying to freeze you out in negotiations to take their crappy come back offer. HATE DEALERSHIPS.

0-60 1.99 seconds. Name some production cars faster than that.
Oh, so now you're specifying production?

Because there are lots of drag cars that'll do much quicker. But at the same time, ok, 0-60 in under 2 seconds in a straight line. That's the only thing it has going for it, fun wise. Useless on a track. No engine sound. Terrible steering wheel. Terrible QC. Yeah, electric will be even faster in the coming days, but there's nothing particularly exciting about EVs. Everything about cars that made people, 'car people' are gone with an EV.
