It looks like they cut prices on the Model X and Model X Plaid. The base Model X now sells for $79,990 while the Plaid now sells for $89,990. All color options are included too. It also seems as if it might now qualify for a tax credit.

Edit: Model S prices were slashed too.

Model S base model $74,990
Model S Plaid $89,990

You're just being ridiculous, the plaid has a sub 2s 0-60 and a sub 9 1/4mi, that is the quickest/fastest production car ever made. Nobody cares about the car you built in your garage or what an S4 with a tune can do. I don't even like tesla but I'm going to knock their build quality, phantom breaking, ownership, etc. not the speed.
I don't like Them, but I agree they are really fast. And they're lower prices are more attractive now

We bought a used 2018 75D X early last year for the same price as a new one now. I sorta feel like as if I invested in bitcoin. Resale value just tanked for sure.
For sure but a car is never an investment no matter what Elon boi says. Granted this makes it worse in terms of depreciation and I would be livid personally 😂.

7 seater is over 80k and I don't think that qualifies for $7500 tax credit
Wouldn't recommend the 7 seater tbh.... that space back there is extremely cramped and horrible for anyone besides small children to sit in

agree on all accounts...
i don't like Tesla's one bit, come to these threads for the lulz... but man, sub 2s 0-60mph for <90K??? don't care about anything else, that's damn impressive Applause

in a world where Civics and Integras hit 50-60k... yeah, the Plaid at this price is crazy.

It's because something about Tesla's triggers ignorant people. I blame media disinformation campaigns and clickbait tabloid articles.

Exactly. Everyone is entitled to opinions of what vehicles they like, but it's absolute ignorance to blindly trash a sedan that runs 9.2s 1/4mi times and now costs $90k.

I would probably need to make $400k annually to afford this car.

I'm surprised you need to make that much to afford this car. I know families with $200k annual salary being able to afford this car. Financing this car is $1300 a month for 72 months, not including the $7500 tax credit.

Take home pay of $400k is around $20k a month, which is way more than necessary to afford this car.

I mean you can certainly afford it with that salary. What you choose to do with your money is up to you and what things are worth to you.
