I ordered from here:
https://www.grooves.lan
The package actually came from Germany and there was no tax somehow so I ended up paying like $700 total. Basically, I can save around $150 if I buy the 11th Gen.
Here is a comparison video back in October 22. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VchgDi8
Yes, the A770M 16 GB driver improved a lot but still, RTX 2060 should have better driver support.

still. you can watch anything on HTPC vs apple TV or fire tv. with a lot of TV has streaming service build in, i think the better question is that why do apple tv or fire tv exist in this day and age?
It would. You get 2 M2. SSD slots and can expand with external drives/DAS. IMO if you're storing your media on HTPC and playing back on the said HTPC, this would be ideal. I think sdaddict was thinking more in line with having a box serve up media, and having a unit playback media. This would do both and wouldn't require another box or NAS to serve up media.
You def can. It would be an overkill for a ChromeOS though. You can possibly get much cheaper unit to run ChromeOS smoothly.
I might just install windows and limit what's installed though as it looks like I'd have to use ChromeOS Flex and Bluetooth support is apparently spotty and I have issues with Bluetooth already on supported hardware

You'd also be surprised how expensive chromebox's are! Something with half this capability would be 650+

1.) Limited apps/ecosystem (looking at you, Samsung and LG)
2.) Poor performance.
Sometimes you get a double-whammy and get both!
I've never seen a built-in streaming platform on a TV that I'd rather use over the $20 onn box at Walmart.
**edit***
Appears you are right. Just found a review when searching for the product model number and fan noise and came back with this. Time to click that order button!!

"Let's start by talking fan noise. The fan management in this NUC is fantastic. It's very close to being silent when you're not stressing the CPU and the GPU and even under heavier loads it doesn't get annoyingly loud. I guess a lot of this is due to the larger diameter fans but it is apparent that Intel spent some time optimizing the acoustics of this NUC."
