Yes, but do verify you fit the suggested size range. The only usual difference between models when they offer a "men's" and a "women's" version is a dropped top tube so it is easier to step over. You can thank concerns about modesty while cycling in skirts in the late 1800's for that.
has everything to do with women being smaller than men (shorter stand over).

Which ebike do you have? I'm looking for something lighter which i can more easily carry up and down stairs.

So, yes, it is a tank if it is really 45lbs.
It's actually 38 lbs. The whole box, which includes tools and other items is a total 45 lbs. According to this video, which seems to be from the company.

I'm confused by the sizes. What size do you get if you're between 5'10" and 6'2"?

I have a Buzz Charter, I love it and it's like 38 pounds. Sadly they stopped making them.

That's only relevant at $400, at $100 none of that matters, the IGH is nearly worth it alone. If you can't figure out how to put a bike together without company support or relying on crappy included tools, that's on you.

I bought an XL of this in may for $186 (with tax) the last time this was on here for a bar bike. It's a pretty basic bike, but it's a functional bike.

Coming from exclusively riding a not-crap touring bike, its noticeably heavy and is a lot of work to pedal, especially in 3 (top gear), even on flat ground.

Mine arrived pretty damaged, box was basically destroyed on one side, but everything was tied/taped together in the box and all was still there.

I don't really know which of these problems are from damage and which are just shit manufacturing:

* The front drop outs were so out of line they didn't actually overlap. (But there was enough tolerance in the holes that I could get the wheel on and tightening down the nuts did seem to bend everything into place.
* The wheels were so out of true, I couldn't even force them to go round a full revolution.
* Third gear is so much harder to pedal than the other gears, and noisier, that I'm genuinely unsure if it's broken or not.
* The bell was very loosely attached and scraped the hell out of one side of the handle bar. (It had a bit of vinyl tube on one half to kepp it from scratching, but not the other.)
* The grease(?) on the chain was so sticky it was visibly gritty coming straight out of the box. It took a week to get it completely off my hands.
* (Probably more things that I've forgotten. I'll edit if anything else pops into my head.)

This isn't nessicarrly a recommendation against it, but it's not the smashing deal they want you to think it is. At the end of the day it's a $100/$150 huffy (that's who owns the brand now) bike. But it is still a workable bike.

No. It is a historic hold over from the beginnings of the bicycle. There are women-specific/targeted bikes with lower standovers for sure, but those usually employ other geometry tweaks. Simply taking the unisex frame and making it a step-thru is an anachronism that we've held on to because "it's always been that way." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Step-through_frame

Ok, that makes much more sense. It still seems a little high, but the inexpensive suspension fork, and double top tube design are probably not helping the heft.

I'm more concerned about stuff arriving damaged. it's freaking heavy for aluminum... based on other replies, it sounds like it's a $100 bike.
