Coming from exclusively riding a not-crap touring bike, its noticeably heavy and is a lot of work to pedal, especially in 3 (top gear), even on flat ground.
Mine arrived pretty damaged, box was basically destroyed on one side, but everything was tied/taped together in the box and all was still there.
I don't really know which of these problems are from damage and which are just shit manufacturing:
* The front drop outs were so out of line they didn't actually overlap. (But there was enough tolerance in the holes that I could get the wheel on and tightening down the nuts did seem to bend everything into place.
* The wheels were so out of true, I couldn't even force them to go round a full revolution.
* Third gear is so much harder to pedal than the other gears, and noisier, that I'm genuinely unsure if it's broken or not.
* The bell was very loosely attached and scraped the hell out of one side of the handle bar. (It had a bit of vinyl tube on one half to kepp it from scratching, but not the other.)
* The grease(?) on the chain was so sticky it was visibly gritty coming straight out of the box. It took a week to get it completely off my hands.
* (Probably more things that I've forgotten. I'll edit if anything else pops into my head.)
This isn't nessicarrly a recommendation against it, but it's not the smashing deal they want you to think it is. At the end of the day it's a $100/$150 huffy (that's who owns the brand now) bike. But it is still a workable bike.
