A whole bunch of people have slider windows. I mean a ton of people. And yet there are incredibly few window units that are vertical. So we are stuck with portable AC. Frustrating.

Unfortunately if we want these u-shaped ones, we have to create a frame around our slider window. That's what I did to 2 of my windows to accommodate these AC units.

Why all the thumbs down. Even without the coupon 250.00 is a pretty good price for one of these units. Admittedly its the end of the season but still not a bad price.

Because we all saw the recent Costco markdown of their Midea Inverter 12,000 BTU AC to $280. Now that was a good price if you were lucky enough to find one.

Needs a price correction to $249 and/or a YMMV for the coupon, at least.

Your comment makes no sense. If you found one or multiple at the Costco deal you wouldn't be looking at this thread. You would not be shaming this deal, you would be congratulating yourself on a good purchase.

This is a good deal for those interested or unable to locate the Costco deal.

The $30 coupon has been on it about a week but the unit was still regular price. I had it in my saved cart and was ordering something else on Amazon so I saw the price drop as soon as it happened and the coupon was still there. I must of ordered before Amazon removed the coupon. Still a good deal at 249 and I would have still pulled the trigger even without the coupon.
