Well, if you want a card for Starfield, this is the one. It seems to like AMD, and 24GB of VRAM is very amenable to future modding (including stuff like LLM character mods, I imagine).
Running Plague Tale Requiem at 4K Ultra settings getting 55 so I suspect Starfield will do 4K medium 60 plus but we'll see.
4060ti's about the same or slightly worse than the 3060ti (hilarious and sad at the same time btw) and that's doing around 30 fps at 4k high settings. DLSS/FSR ought to push that up a bit, but maybe not up to 60. Not sure how medium fairs.

I'll let you know come Tuesday. I really have no interest in RPG's but love to prove the 4K naysayers wrong.

What a lot of people don't really seem to understand is that often slapping more vram on a card won't improve the performance because the card doesn't have the juice to handle higher quality settings to begin with. The 16GB 4060ti is a good example because it largely performs exactly the same as an 8GB 4060ti -there are a few games with the 1% lows are better, but average framerate doesn't improve with the doubled video memory.
8GB is fine for the most part still, but the 3060ti wasn't ever really meant to be a 4k card. If you get a stable 30 I'd be pretty happy with that personally.

It won't. At least not without some optimization patches. Benchmarks are already out and the performance is terrible. Inside areas will run better but to get around a 60 fps average in outdoor areas, a 3060 ti would need to run Starfield at 1080p low, MAYBE medium with FSR enabled.
