I just picked up the 8amp that retails for $498 for $70!!. Only had one left and did noticed that all the mowers floor models were on sale as well. Thank you so much for the original post, I had been looking for a good deal on a cordless mower.

I don't have this exact model but I bought a 40V Hart mower a summer or two ago from a deal I found here and I love it. I can mow my whole yard on one of the two batteries that were sent easily. It has a lot of power and revs up if the grass is especially think in a spot so it carts "harder". I have literally no complaints on this mower. Storage is great too since you can do it vertically without oil/gas spill. If you can find one of these for $200 near you, I would not hesitate for a second to buy another.

I got one of the 21 inch self propelled mower with two 6.ah batteries in the Mebane NC store yesterday for $ 284 and they had three more on the shelf. I charged the batteries and tried it out and it worked great. I think I am going to be really happy with this mower. I don't like the review for a chance to win $100 flyer in with the manual. I think they do that to generate positive reviews but if the mower is a good deal, you don't need to bribe people to giving good reviews. I will review it after I use it for a while with an honest review.

same store I got it at yesterday, only issue I got is seems like you need to let the battery cool down or something before it will charge otherwise it just sits on the charger blinking red, is this normal?

Ugh....my walmart is still regular price (central Ky). Except for an open box unit but it is self propelled and I'm using mine mostly for trim work which is short distances forward and back. I think the self propelled feature makes it harder to push if you're not using that feature

Yeah, and can take quite a while for it to cool down too. Got a free quick charger with the lower model mower a year ago, but it doesn't really help with the situation since it takes so long to cool down.

Ended up getting the blower which came with a battery. An extra battery setup is perfect. Can use one while other cools down/charges.

Do you have a multimeter? Mine was doing the same thing and I used my fluke multimeter to check the DC voltage. It measured good, but I also noticed I was able to immediately put it back in the charger and it started charging as normal again. I wondering if using the meter actually triggered the battery into charging again after reading other people using batteries to "jump" other batteries that were not charging on their own.

Any tool system won't charge hot batteries to prevent lithium battery fires

The packs wont start charging till the temp probe is below 100f. if the pack is warm to touch, the internal probe is going to be a lot hotter. If a pack is warm to the touch, well its going to get a lot warmer charging Stick Out Tongue

Not sure why they have this limit when cell phones can go nuclear and still be fine.

My issue was different. I usually have 1 bar left. The one time I ran the mower til the battery died it wouldn't charge. I let it sit for an hour and it wouldn't charge. I finally put my multimeter leads on it and it showed "good" voltage. I put it back on the charger and it started to charge.

just came back form my walmart and got one of the 8Ah for $118... so keep an eye out for a recent mark down...they had a pile of them by the front entrance with both the 6Ah amd 8Ah models ...thanks to this thread I was smart enough to look for a 8Ah

This mower is worth the $118 price just for the 8Ah battery and quick charge charger...just as reported the battery charges in an hour and the battery has allot of power. I used it in my 16" Hart chainsaw and this thing really chews the wood....kind of heavy though..great deal

I got the posted mower for 228 at my local walmart - last one.

Last week it was 350.

All of the hart 40v mowers were on clearence. So if you dont need self propelled, the 40v push mower with 6AH battery was 168 and they had several in stock
