I love my Milwaukee track saw.. but… if you get the kit.. the box is actually the large packout without the wheels.. takes up a LOT of space in my truck.. so I cut the styrofoam taking just the side that is molded for the saw and built a box to fit it. Gave the packout to my son-in-law

I have mostly all Milwaukee stuff, but I own the Dewalt cordless track saw and the Milwaukee is just so expensive. You can buy the Dewalt kit WITH a track, battery and charger for $526, and the equivalent Milwaukee kit is $789. Look, I love red tools, but that value is not there. Even if the DeWalt saw didn't kick butt (which it absolutely does) there's just no way to justify that kind of price premium, even with a discount.

Today, on this sale, the equivalent Milwaukee set (full saw kit with packout plus charger and 6.0 HO battery, plus 55" rail) is $550. A very negligible difference

That's not true, unless somehow you're looking at something different. The kit with saw, box, charger, battery , blade, and track is still $670.55 after the 15% coupon code and before tax.

I have this kit and the tracks/guides. My only complaint is the anti splinter strips on the tracks/guides come loose in hot weather. (It's been extremely hot in Florida this summer). I love the storage in the Packout and the fact that everything has its place. You can add trays in the top of Packout for more storage too. I do recommend you get some track/guide storage. These are my favorites. They can store the track vertical or horizontal.

The included blade in the kit cuts very smooth and the saw with guide cuts laser straight. The dust bag will fill up pretty quick when cutting plywood, so I recommend a vacuum attachment. The Milwaukee, Makita, Powertec, and festool tracks are all interchangeable with this saw. Dewalt tracks are not!

I also picked up these Wen clamps for long cuts. They slide right into the bottom of the Milwaukee tracks. They feel a bit cheaply made, but work.

The saw already comes with a blade on it. The kit you are referring to comes with a second blade

ETA - your best bet for the cheapest price is piecing everything out, not ordering a pre-made bundle.the bundle already has a price based on the cumulative items within the bundle, meaning you only get the 15% + 15% off the entire total, instead of the discount off each individual item within the bundle.

Hope that was clearer than it sounded to me reading it back to myself 🤣
