Baldurs Gate is a great game and a better RPG, but Starfield is a great game as well. You wont be missing out with either game.

I much prefer the sci-fi space theme of Starfield over the fantasy D&D of Baldurs Gate

The us versus them mentality, especially when it comes to games, has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever witnessed in my life. Baldur's gate 3 and starfield are both fun games from critically acclaimed companies. Have any of you ever heard of playing both of them? Shocking, I know.

Anyone know if this game has cross save between Xbox/Windows Store version of the game and Steam?
It does. I have the Game Pass version installed (along with the premium upgrade, purchased one-time) and it works on both my Xbox and my ASUS ROG Ally. The game picks up where I left off on either device. I can also play the game offline, I adjusted my Xbox Game Pass settings to set my ASUS ROG Ally as my main gaming machine and thus now I can play whether I'm online or offline. But to do the cross-progression saves, you'll need an internet connection. Hope this info helps.

Can PC code be redeemed on Xbox? Guessing no.
It's a Steam code, so no.

I don't think so but I do know you will be able to get it for free with the xbox game pass! Super stoked about that! Only thing is I wish I could play this on my steamdeck as it looks like its going to be SD verified upon its release!
I've been playing it on my Steam Deck streaming from my PC using Moonlight. Works amazingly. Picked up all of my save data from my Xbox and it just sips battery since it's streaming from the PC.

I feel like Bethesda took a dart board with "Fallout" as the title and split the board:

"Under the Sea" | "In Space"

I'm waiting for it to get to the same level of mods as Skyrim.

What's the advantage of using moonlight over steams built in streaming? Wondering if it is worth setting up moonlight.

FWIW, since it didn't seem like you got a firm answer - yes. It is a little talked about feature called "XBox Play Anywhere", that a small handful of Microsoft-owned games have.

This means you can buy the game either in the Microsoft Store or XBox, and play on both PC and XBox, with shared progression.

It's a random, player-friendly feature, that I really wish was a bigger thing in general, and it works very smoothly. Used it heavily for State of Decay 2, and look forward to it with Starfield 😁

Been playing this. Great game.
Not sure why so many people who've never played it want to jump on a hate bandwagon. It's really weird.

I've put a few hundred hours of Elite Dangerous in VR. Starfield is a better to play game. Elite Dangerous is a better sim.

I'm hoping so too, as a fellow SD owner, but aren't the graphics going to have to be on potato settings to even get a playable framerate? Fingers crossed, though!
I've been playing it a bit on my steam deck. Yes the graphics are a bit potato compared to my gaming desktop PC. But it runs acceptable. Great to be able to switch to my steam deck when I don't want to be sitting at my desk anymore.

Has anyone tried this on a laptop with a below-spec video card? I hate the thought of buying a $500 machine to play a $60 game, but I so want this game Frown

That game is a little too perverted for my liking. Focusing on Starfield right now, and surprised 17% off of a new, highly rated, game is getting thumbs down.
Make sure you stay away from Nexus Mods then.

I would disagree with that, unless you're into bear sex. In that case, Starfield has nothing in that department.

Yet..
