Baldurs Gate is a great game and a better RPG, but Starfield is a great game as well. You wont be missing out with either game.
I much prefer the sci-fi space theme of Starfield over the fantasy D&D of Baldurs Gate
The us versus them mentality, especially when it comes to games, has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever witnessed in my life. Baldur's gate 3 and starfield are both fun games from critically acclaimed companies. Have any of you ever heard of playing both of them? Shocking, I know.

Has anyone tried this on a laptop with a below-spec video card? I hate the thought of buying a $500 machine to play a $60 game, but I so want this game
That game is a little too perverted for my liking. Focusing on Starfield right now, and surprised 17% off of a new, highly rated, game is getting thumbs down.
Make sure you stay away from Nexus Mods then.

I would disagree with that, unless you're into bear sex. In that case, Starfield has nothing in that department.

Buy it on Steam and see if it runs. If it does great, if it doesn't, Steam has a refund window that's pretty generous.

Just get an XBox S and the game pass? Will be a lot cheaper and run better?
I am still in the early stages of Starfield and in the 'learning phase' I guess. It is interesting, but I find myself doing constant saves with occasional reloads as part of the process.
I know it is comparing apples to oranges, but I am still enjoying Diablo 4. I have not bought BG3 yet because of the cash outlay on D4 and Starfield which has been considerable for a retiree on a fixed income. ;-) So, for now, I am alternating - D4 one day and Starfield the alternating day. These two games should keep me busy for awhile.
Still looking forward to Civilization 7 though. ;-)
For real, or even No Man's sky back in 2013 is better than this piece of junk 🤮
Have to say that Starfield seems unfinished. They could have hidden a lot of the loading screens under better UI and scene transitions. It's like Fallout4 in space without VATS or the atmosphere. Pun intended.

Been playing for about 10-15 hours so far, got it free with gamepass. Easiest way I can describe the game a mix of Fallout 4/No Mans Sky/ and Mass Effect all in one. Overall fun game but I think I will get bored of it after I setup a base and buy a ship. The Surveying aspect is very very tedious and has you spending countless hours looking for needles in a haystack.
Also *SPOILER* no benefit to hording items or older weapons as salvaging is not a thing in this game, so just sell what you dont need constantly.

The NPCs say the same old cliche "the company sucks" and "go away newbie" lines like in every freaking space game ever.

The cheapskate in me rarely pays more than $20 for pc games.
Surprisingly, there are few bugs. I've played over 70 hours now and I have yet to encounter anything game breaking or annoying.
The menus on the other hand…
