If the Casper Select is like the Casper Original, it's probably medium-firm.

I had a Casper Original for a while and liked it. It has a very balanced foam feel that's different than a Nectar or Tempur-Pedic (which have a slow-moving memory foam feel).

If you want a firmer mattress, perhaps check out Costco's Novaform mattress. If you want a soft mattress, check out the Casper Nova (not sold at Costco). I really, really like the Casper Nova but it's quite expensive.

The Casper Select is likely a good choice for many and the price is right (and Costco's return policy is great if needed).

If 3 people in the same area can coordinate a purchase of the same mattress you can save an extra $100 off each!

What, you don't buy your own beds three at a time?

Anyone have feedback about this Casper ($500) versus the Novaform ComfortGrande Plus Gel ($579)?

Don't know about Casper but the novaform has literally zero edge support.

What is important about edge support?

do you ever sit on the side of your bed? If you do it's kind of annoying if the side of the bed turns into a ramp when you sit on it.

I walked in a Casper store and asked the rep yesterday said "not in the traditional sense it's not sharded but is present." So basically yes it has fiberglass unless someone else know what he meant

Don't know how true this but was told by mattress store that the beds sold at Costco/ Sam's ect are different than the ones sold directly through the sight. I know for a fact the it's true for Nectar. You can physically see the difference on the websites.

The Casper Select (sold by Costco) is similar to the Casper Original (sold by Casper). The biggest difference is that the Select has an extra layer of foam. It also costs less than the Casper and is only offered through Costco.

Yeah, I saw a few boxes of the Casper Select when I visited my local Costco maybe two weeks ago. Not sure whether they're there now. It's possibly worth the trip (for the $50 savings) for those who can manhandle the mattress box into the car. Congrats on your new mattress!

Not sure about last December pricing, but it was $700 for Casper King in-store a week ago. I ended up buying 14" Novaform King (Medium Firm) for $480.
How did you get it for $480?

Novaform is too soft imo, need something more firm. It's a pain returning box mattresses unless you have a big truck. Costco does not pickup in-store purchased mattresseses.
