When I was was looking for some AAA eneloops because the few AAA NIMh batteries I had were all dead, I found this page on Amazon. If you go to the page in the second to right column has a
ton of options. I need at least 8 for my Clocky so I clicked around on the 8 pack and 2x 4-pack options.Well ,I eventually stumbled on an 2x 4 pack for about $37 which I thought was a steal so I scrolled down and read some stuff to make sure I was understanding it right (like it really is 2 packs of 4). So I bought it. But then when I started to write this post I found another option for only $26.87. It says all over the place that it contains 8 batteries (in 2 packs of 4) . I took screenshots. I figure the worst that could happen is they only send me 4, and I complain to them and they refuse to send 4 more so I just initiate a return. Here's a link to screenshots I made:

There is one hitch. If you scroll down far enough it says there are 4 AAA eneloop pro high capacity rechargeable batteries in the box. But that could just mean that a single box has 4 and doesn't mean that they aren't sending 2 boxes of 4. I guess we'll see. I think I might buy a few more, just in case.
Good luck!

They are meant for high energy use devices like flask for cameras and flashlights. The regular Eneloops are better for most other applications .
