That said, I've been very happy with my Delonghi and I think it was even a refurb when I got it a few years ago (3?).
As it was only a single hose, after a couple of years I finally upgraded to a dual-hose model at Costco for $299.99 in early August 2023. But I'm keeping my Delonghi as my backup, as the last time I had one die, I couldn't find them at a decent price anywhere (as my bedroom is on a the 4th floor and faces the sun, it's very cost efficient to just cool my bedroom at night than to keep both floors cool enough to keep the bedroom cool).
They're quieter and way less taxing on the unit and your power bill.
